My Story
Hi, I’m Shayne.
I’m the heart, hands, baker—and very often the flour-covered person behind Little Dough Bread Co.
What started as a love of baking and a desire to create truly delicious gluten-free food has slowly grown into something much bigger: my dream of creating a little neighbourhood micro bakery right here in Willow Park, Calgary.
Little Dough Bread Co. is celiac-owned and proudly gluten free. I believe gluten-free baking should never feel like a compromise. My focus is on thoughtfully made, high-quality baked goods using organic ingredients wherever possible—from naturally fermented sourdough and beautiful artisan loaves to buns, macarons, cakes and whatever else I’m inspired to create next.
I’m currently in the process of bringing the next chapter of Little Dough to life. The micro bakery is still in the design and development stage, with permits, engineering plans and plenty of behind-the-scenes work ahead. It’s a labour of love, and I’m incredibly excited to be building something that I hope will become a special little part of this community for many years to come.
In the meantime, I’m still here baking, creating, experimenting and probably dreaming up my next flavour combination. My website is growing alongside the bakery, so please bear with me while I continue to build both.
